This is about you

You are responsible for a company. Perhaps a family too.

The climate is changing – faster and faster. Harvests have started to fail. Each year the heatwaves grow more deadly, and more wildfires rage. Cities choke in smoke. Sea levels rise. The UN predicts hundreds of millions will flee their homes.

Despite scientific advice and public concern, emissions accelerate. ‘Climate anxiety’ drives teenagers to suicide.

In 21st-century Britain, the young find only precarious jobs, and rents and houses they cannot afford. In a rich country, millions go hungry. Politics grows toxic and seems unable to fix crumbling infrastructure and social services.

Graduates doubt their futures – in or out of your company – and fear to start families.

No one can talk about it. Everybody’s busy.
Reality doesn’t care.

What should you do?

Welcome to the future

Most of us carry on, and hope things will get better.
But they will not. Not anytime soon.

We can see aspects of our future in the parts of the world already experiencing societal collapse.

“The future is already here… it’s just not evenly distributed.”
— William Gibson

How we work

We begin with review and analysis. It is essential to grasp the consequences of the simultaneous collapse of multiple systems that support human life, and to understand the factors driving it.

We shall consider whether we are witnessing the ending of our thermo-industrial society.

If you think that is so, we shall discuss the likely consequences for you, your family, and your business. And address your personal reactions – which cannot be set aside.

Finally, we shall think through your personal and business goals for the next decade.

How can you spend your time well?
